About Me
My name is Kim Willaby, I own and run the Upscale Weesale, LLC. I am a native of Rock Hill. I graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1986 and then graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1990. Go Gamecocks!
My husband Martie and I will be celebrating our 23nd wedding anniversary June 30th. We have 2 beautiful children, Brooke and Josh. Brooke is 19 and a sophomore at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She is hoping to obtain her master’s in Occupational Therapy and a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Josh is 17 years old and a senior at Rock Hill High School. He plays baseball for Rock Hill High. We were excited to receive his acceptance letter to South Carolina in December! I am excited for him, but next year is going to be a tough one with both babies gone and off to college.
The Upscale WeeSale was BORN after moving back “home” to Rock Hill in May 1999, my first sale took place in September 1999 with 60 consignors. We are now preparing for our 28th sale…with over 650 consignors. Wow…it has been challenging, exciting, and fun! My goal is to provide our community with an upscale consignment sale that promises quality merchandise in a fun and exciting atmosphere. We are constantly trying to improve our sale, season after season. I could not do this sale without the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the foremost and most predominant piece of the puzzle. Christian values and integrity are the backbone of The Upscale WeeSale and my personal business style. We will always do the right thing regardless of any circumstance.
I have met so many wonderful people and have made friendships that will last a lifetime! God has blessed me abundantly and I hope that the Upscale WeeSale will be a blessing to you, in some small way.
The Upscale WeeSale wouldn’t be complete without the opportunity to serve the Rock Hill Community! Over the last 11 years we have donated over $100,000.00 to charities across York County. The Crisis Pregnancy Center, The Children’s Attention Home, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Safe Passage, and many more. After Hurricane Katrina, we were able to invite local displaced families to shop for their children. We had countless consignors bring items for the parents, too! What a blessing it is to see community helping community.
We currently have a relationship with Interfaith Hospitality/Family Promise. They receive all of our donations every sale. Thank you for visiting and I look forward to meeting you at the next sale!!
Kim
