The Upscale WeeSale wouldn’t be complete without the opportunity to serve the Rock Hill Community!

Over the last 11 years we have donated over $100,000.00 of merchandise to charities across York County. The Crisis Pregnancy Center, The Children’s Attention Home, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Family Promise, Safe Passage, the Junior Welfare League’s ‘Twice as Nice’ shop and many more.
After Hurricane Katrina, we were able to invite local displaced families to shop for their children. We had countless consignors bring items for the parents, too! What a blessing it is to see community helping community.
We currently have a partnership with Interfaith Hospitality/Family Promise. They receive all of our end of sale donations every sale. Every consignor has the choice to donate their unsold items to charity.

In addition to our donated merchandise, we have donated 1000′s of canned goods to Pilgrim’s Inn. On the first opening day of the sale each season, we open 30 minutes early to those customers who bring 3 canned goods each. This has been very successful and we will continue this outreach to help those who are less fortunate. No one should go hungry!

Consigning with the Upscale WeeSale is EASY! We will walk you through it….Just follow these 10 easy steps!

The Upscale WeeSale realizes that the success of our sale is solely due to our fabulous consignors. We appreciate you in every way and look forward to offering you an opportunity to earn additional income by consigning your children’s top quality new or gently loved clothing, shoes, toys, baby equipment, and more. In addition to children’s items, we also accept ALL household furniture and brand name women’s handbags!

Step #1. Register to Consign

Click “New Consignor Registration” below to register to receive your consignor number and password. Returning Consignors may log in below or by clicking here: Consignor Homepage. When registering, please be sure to click the link in Paypal to return to the WeeSale website to complete registration. Consignor profit is 66% and the consignor fee is $10.00 This fee is nonrefundable, however; all consignors have the opportunity to waive their fee and earn higher percentages by volunteering! Volunteer shifts are 3 hours. See the “Volunteer” page for more information. **NOTE: You will be directed to Paypal during the registration process. Please be sure to click back to the WeeSale website to complete your registration.

New Consignor Registration

Returning Consignor Registration

Step #2. Schedule your drop off appointment – NOT AVAILABLE YET!

Go to the Drop Off Information page to schedule your drop off appointment or log into your consignor account by clinking on Consignor Login on the homepage of our website. Located in the top right hand corner.

Step #3: Please read the website instructions carefully.

Please read our Consignor Guidelines, Tagging Instructions, Accepted/Not Accepted Items, and read over the Pricing Guidelines.

Step #4. Prep Your Items

Wash, iron and hang your items neatly. See all the consignor instructions, How-To videos and FAQ’s for help preparing your items for consignment. Presentation is EVERYTHING when consigning! If you can’t find an answer, please feel free to email me. I am happy to answer questions! theweesale@comporium.net

Step #5: Enter your items online.

All merchandise is priced and tagged by you the consignor using our built-in state of the art consignment software program. You can enter your items by logging into your Consignor Account . Go to “Work with your consigned items” link. *NOTE – A MINIMUM OF 20 items or $100.00 in merchandise is required to qualify for a presale pass. Maximum item limit is 250. You can double up items to make outfits. One 2 or 3 piece outfit with one tag = 1 item.

You may enter your merchandise at your leisure. This can be done whenever you have a few extra minutes throughout the next few weeks. The time for entering merchandise will close promptly at 11:59pm on Friday, Feb.17th. Anything that has not been entered will NOT be able to be sold in the event. You will still have access to print tags, so if you are in any type of time crunch, input your merchandise first! If you are choosing to CLEAN OUT those closets be sure and check the DISCOUNT option. We all love a great bargain and we offer an “almost everything” half off day. If your merchandise is still available Sunday morning, discounting is a great way to get it sold! We would love to provide you with a nice big check instead of a handful of unsold items. Be sure and check “Donate” if you would like any unsold clothing and merchandise to go to several York County charitable organizations.

Step #6: Print your tags

Tags should be printed on white CARDSTOCK paper. Please do not print them on plain paper, no exceptions.

Step #7: Bring your items to the Upscale WeeSale at your scheduled Drop-off time

Please see the Drop Off and Pick Up page for detailed information and what to expect at Drop Off.

Step #8. Shop the Presale & Shop 50% off Early

The presale will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28th: 6pm-9pm. Volunteers shop on Monday, Feb. 27th. See “Volunteering” for more info. Only 1 person per pass can shop on consignor night. No children, no spouses, and no guests, please! As a consignor, you shop the half-price sale on Sunday, beginning at 12:30pm. Volunteers shop at 12:00 noon (early church that day!) The public opening is 1:30pm. Read Presale Shopping Information here.

Step #9: Sit back and relax!

Unless you have scheduled a shift to be a volunteer for early shop times and/or highter commission, You DO NOT need to be present during the sale! *Note – you will be able to track your online sales throughout the sale. We update your sales every evening!

Step# 10: Pick-up your unsold items and your consignor profit check!

Consignor profit is 66%!! Traditional consignment shops only give you 50% and they decide if your items will be discounted. There is a consignor fee of $10.00 to consign. This helps us offset the continued cost of rent, utilities, advertising and supplies associated with holding the sale each season. If you choose to donate all your unsold items, your check will be mailed to you within 1 week. If you are donating all your items, be sure to include a self addressed stamped envelope at time of drop off to avoid paying the additional postage & handling fees of $1.00.

Pickup will be held Tuesday, March 6th: 1pm – 7pm.

Policies

The Upscale WeeSale™ reserves the right to reject any items. Suggestions always accepted! If you think you know a way to make this site or Consignment Sale better….please email your ideas or suggestions! This sale can only get better with constructive criticism. I am always open to ways to “make it better”.

Thanks to Chrissy from ConsignmentMommies.com for these great tips!

The true secret to consigning success is in becoming a really good consignor!
Here are some helpful ideas to help you get rid of those toys / clothes and make more money!

1. Presentation is Everything – Make your items look their best!

Presentation matters! Wash all clothing and make sure they are free from stains. Check for stains in daylight because indoor lighting does not always allow you to see every flaw. Make your items look their best by ironing, buttoning, zipping, and snapping as required. Clothing items will be more appealing to shoppers (and more likely to sell) if they’re pressed and looking new.

2. The Price is Right

Most people agree that the best pricing strategy is about 1/3 to 1/4 of what you paid retail for an item. There are many different approaches when it comes to pricing your consigned items. The best way to ensure your items sell is to price anything gently used at 25-30% of the original retail price. If the item is brand new with tags or an expensive boutique brand (in excellent condition) then of course price higher. You really do need to be careful not make the mistake of pricing all of your items too high. If you are in doubt about the value of an item one good place to do some research is Ebay (you can see how much people are willing to pay for certain clothing brands and equipment items). If the event you participate in has a half price day I recommend letting all items go to half of the marked price. It is much better to get half of your marked price than to have to pick up your overpriced unsold items at the sales end and take them back to your house (making nothing).

3. Add Notes on Sizing if Needed

If something fits like a 12 month item, but is labeled 18 months, make a note and make sure it is placed in the 12 month area. Items often get left hanging because they look too big / small in their sections.

4. Read Your Consignor Instructions TWICE

Every sale is a bit different so don’t miss the opportunity to sell because you didn’t follow directions!

5. Group Wisely

Don’t try and hide worn / useless items with good ones… you’ll drive everyone else crazy! Instead, think like the shopping maven / mom that you are and group intelligently. If you do have multiple items, make sure you can easily see all parts.

6. Laundry Tips

This might seem obvious but the way you do laundry (year round) directly impacts the items you will be able to consign (most sales will not accept items with fading or stains). Washing in cold water prevents fading and shrinking – turning items inside out before laundering prevents pilling. ALWAYS treat stains immediately and if a stain doesn’t come out completely on the first wash, treating the stain one more time usually does the trick. Remember not to let a stained item go through the dryer – it will set the stain and you will never get it out. If all else fails (and the item is white) you can always try a Clorox bleach pen. Rubbing baby powder into a stain and washing is a great stain removal tip as well as Dawn dishwashing liquid.
